We develop a complete open source software stack for surgery simulators, currently targeting oral surgery in particular. Forsslund Systems is a spin-of from Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. The current flag ship product, the oral surgery simulator, has recently been incorporated in courses at Karolinska Institutet, and is now available to other interested parties. The Kobra simulator was developed with the user in mind. We have collaborated with oral surgeons at Karolinska Institutet in Huddinge to ensure that it aids in important aspects of teacher-student interaction.
